Comprensión matemática evidenciada por estudiantes de secundaria sobre las funciones exponencial y logarítmica

    Se refinó un marco de referencia sobre los niveles de comprensión a partir del establecimiento de conexiones matemáticas. Para ello, se emplea como referente teórico el networkingentre el Enfoque Ontosemióticodel Conocimiento y la Instrucción Matemática, y la Teoría Ampliada de las Conexiones Ma-temáticas. Esta investigación cualitativa es un estudio de caso, en el que se analizaron las producciones y las respuestas a un cuestionario de tres estudiantes de secundaria. Los datos fueron analizados mediante el análisis ontosemiótico. Los resultados mostraron que el marco de referencia refinado permitió valorar el nivel de comprensión de los estudiantes, quienes, a través del establecimiento de conexiones evidencia-ron un nivel de comprensión diferente respecto a las funciones exponencial y logarítmica. Los casos de estudio no evidenciaron un alto nivel de comprensión; algunas razones se debieron a la falta de tiempo para socializar y profundizar en algunas características de las funciones durante las sesiones.

    A framework of reference on levels of comprehension was refined based on the establishment of mathematical connections. To this end, the networking between the Ontosemiotic Approach to Knowledge and Mathematical Instruction and the Extended Theory of Mathematical Connections is used as a theoretical reference. This qualitative research is a case study in which the productions and responses to a questionnaire of three high school students were analyzed. The data were analyzed using ontosemiotic analysis. The results showed that the refined frame of reference allowed to assess the level of understand-ing of the students, who, through the establishment of connections, evidenced a different level of under-standing concerning the exponential and logarithmic functions. The case studies did not show a high level of understanding; some reasons were due to the lack of time to socialize and deepen some characteristics of the functions during the sessions.
