This is exploratory research to base an analysis of innovative exhibits. We believe unequivocally that these exhibits and science eventscontribute to the development of the attractiveness and improvement of sciencelearning, offering purposeful exhibits and activities focused on young and adulteducation. Our hypothesis in the long term aims to study which exhibits and eventsare more effective in informal learning. We would like to test our hypothesis basedon the visitors’ perspectives in the Bragança Ciência Viva Science Center - Portugal (and 3 other European museums on a smaller scale) as we plan to developscience content appropriate for our public needs. We also want to assess how inthe engaging process people value the digitalization of contents. An exploratoryquestionnaire was carried out during 2020 and 2021 to understand the public perception of Virtual Reality and the results are indicative of the importance of newapproaches to science exhibits for science education and science communication.
