El concepto de función a través de la Historia

  • Analizar los procesos históricos en el desarrollo de la Matemática permite conocer la forma en que surgen, se sistematizan y se desarrollan los métodos, las ideas, los conceptos y las teorías de esta ciencia. En este trabajo se realiza una revisión bibliográfica de los hechos más importantes en el desarrollo histórico del concepto de función. El objetivo es ofrecer una reseña histórica que pueda ser utilizada como una herramienta pedagógica, que al mostrar los caminos recorridos, permita buscar nuevas alternativas, conjeturar mayores alcances y mejorar posibilidades para el desarrollo del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje del concepto “función”.
