    En 2015 se cumplen 200 años del fallecimiento del matemático asturiano Agustín de Pedrayes y Foyo. Presentamos su semblanza biográfica y sus principales aportaciones a la Educación Matemática del siglo XVIII. Veremos cómo una serie de catástrofes encadenadas llevaron a la pérdida de sus principales obras e investigaciones hasta convertirlo en uno de los matemáticos más ilustres del siglo XVIII sin que la historia se haya hecho eco de sus logros.

    2015 is the 200th anniversary of the death of the Asturian mathematician Agustín de Pedrayes y Foyo. We present his biographical semblance and its main contributions to Mathematics Education of the eighteenth century. We will show how a series of linked catastrophes led to the loss of his main works and researches, causing that despite being one of the most distinguished mathematicians of the eighteenth century, history has not echoed his achievements.
