Resumen de La influencia del enunciado en la resolución de problemas de M.C.D. y M.C.M. de estudiantes para maestro

    En esta comunicación se presentan resultados de una investigación con estudiantes para maestro sobre la resolución de problemas verbales ligados a los conceptos de máximo común divisor (m.c.d.) y mínimo común múltiplo (m.c.m). Los principales objetivos de la investigación eran evaluar la competencia de los estudiantes en la resolución de este tipo de problemas y analizar la influencia en el proceso de resolución de la presencia en el enunciado de palabras clave. La comunicación se centra en una dificultad que presentan los estudiantes a la hora de decidir entre el m.c.d. y el m.c.m. en la resolución de problemas verbales. En este sentido, resultados, tanto cuantitativos como cualitativos, apuntan a que el origen de la dificultad podría deberse a que los estudiantes no involucran las ideas de múltiplo y divisor en la resolución, sino que se guían por las palabras clave del enunciado para desencadenar el cálculo algorítmico del m.c.d. o del m.c.m.

    This paper presents results from a study with preservice elementary teachers on solving word problems related to the concepts of greatest common divisor (g.c.d.) and least common multiple (l.c.m.). The main objectives of the research were to evaluate the students' competence in the resolution of such problems and analyse the influence of the presence of key words in the problem statement on the process of resolution. The paper is focused on a difficulty which the students present when deciding between the g.c.d. and the l.c.m. in solving word problems. In this sense, both quantitative and qualitative results suggest that the origin of the difficulty might be that students do not involve notions of multiple and divider in the resolution but they are guided by the keywords of the statement to continue with the algorithmic calculation of the g.c.d. or the l.c.m.
