  Este trabajo realiza una revisión general del uso de técnicas clásicas de Aprendizaje Atomático en el entorno de los sistemas de enseñanza asistida por ordenador. Basándose en la arquitectura clásica de los Sistemas Tutores Inteligentes, se estudian sus cualidades aconsejables y las posibles aplicaciones de Aprendizaje Automático en sus componentes principales. Hemos clasificado los programas existentes según el objetivo que se persigue con la utilización de dichas técnicas. Por una parte estudiamos como se aplican a la modelización del alumno para conseguir tutores adaptativos y por otra parte describimos los Sistemas Tutores Inteligentes Automejorados más representativos que aplican técnicas de aprendizaje.

  This paper reviews the use of the classic Machine Learning techniques in the field of the computer aided instruction. Taking into account the classis architecture of the Intelligent Tutoring Systems we identify its necessary qualities and study the possible applications of Machine Learning within its main components. Current educational programs are classified in terms of how these techniques have been applied and the pursued goal. One the one hand, we study how they have been applied to student modelling for getting adaptive tutors and on the other hand, we describe the more representative Seft-improving Intelligent Tutoring Systems that apply learning techniques.
