The original paper presents a user model capable of abstractly representing a wide range of user characteristics in any interaction context, with the aim of supporting the development of Intelligent User Interfaces. The model is grounded in a synthesis of previous works that proposed specific user models, complemented by the inclusion of additional required characteristics that had not been previously considered. The proposed model was validated with 62 real end-users, who identified and expressed the user characteristics they consider relevant.
