  This research presents partial results of Doctoral research in Mathematics Education. We use a new version of GeoGebra, called GeoGebra Discovery. This is a qualitative investigation and the research participants are students enrolled in the 8th year of Elementary School. We present two activities of a didactic sequence, applied under the Design Experiments methodology and analyzed through the levels of understanding and development of van Hiele's geometric thinking (1984). The results indicate that the exploration and verification of conjectures of properties of the plane geometry, in particular of the triangle, using GeoGebra Discovery, can contribute to a dynamic, exploratory and significant learning of students.

  Esta pesquisa apresenta resultados parciais de uma pesquisa de Doutorado em Educação Matemática. Foi utilizada uma versão do software GeoGebra, em desenvolvimento, denominada GeoGebra Discovery. Trata-se de uma investigação qualitativa e os participantes da pesquisa são alunos matriculados no 8º ano do Ensino Fundamental. São apresentadas duas atividades de uma sequência didática, aplicadas sob a metodologia Design Experiments e analisadas por meio dos níveis de compreensão e desenvolvimento do pensamento geométrico de van Hiele (1984). Os resultados indicam que a exploração e a verificação de conjecturas de propriedades da geometria plana, em particular do triângulo, utilizando o GeoGebra Discovery, podem contribuir para uma aprendizagem dinâmica, exploratória e significativa dos alunos.
