  En este artículo se ilustra que un problema surgido en el Certamen "El Número de Oro" puede impulsar el entusiasmo matemático y llevar de forma natural a generalizaciones. Se investiga el problema, lo cual culmina redescubriendo un teorema de cierta generalidad con un atractivo estético, siempre manteniendo el tratamiento geométrico elemental.

  This article illustrates how a problem posed in the contest “El Número de Oro” might impulse mathematical enthusiasm and induce addressing a more general question in a natural way. Studying the problem culminates on the rediscover of a general theorem with an aesthetically appealing, always keeping the geometric treatment elementary.
