  • Resumen
    • The behaviors of individual vortices has become a matter of study in turbulent flows as the computational power to make their study feasible has become available. A new parallel vortex-tracking tool has been developed in this work, to track vortical coherent structures in all scales through the time steps of a DNS simulation. The tool first constructs a graph and decomposes it into their connected components to obtain the vortices in a given time step and then compares them to the ones present in a previous time step to obtain tracking information that can be reconstructed to obtain each vortex temporal evolution.
