Resumen de Primeras experiencias con una tabla en segundo de educación primaria. Aproximación funcional al pensamiento algebraico

  Abordamos este trabajo desde la perspectiva funcional, como un acercamiento al álgebra.Focalizamos nuestra atención en cómo interpretan y usan tablas en el trabajo con funciones losestudiantes1 de segundo de primaria (7-8 años), en su primer encuentro con la representacióntabular. Observamos la forma de organizar los datos en tablas e identificamos las estructuras queevidencian los niños como regularidades entre las variables de las funciones. Llevamos a cabo unaentrevista semiestructurada sobre una tarea que incluye una función lineal y en la que hay presenteuna tabla en blanco sin indicaciones en los encabezados. De nuestro análisis obtenemos que losestudiantes lograron organizar los valores de las variables adecuadamente, relacionándolos porcolumnas; escribieron encabezados, identificando las variables que intervienen); e identificaronestructuras (relaciones entre variables).

  We approach this study from a functional perspective, as an approach to algebra. We focus ourattention on how second grade students (7-8 years), interpret and use tables in function work, intheir first encounter with the tabular representation. We observe the way of organizing the data intables and we identify the structures that the children show as regularities between the variables ofthe functions. We conducted a semistructured interview on a task that includes a linear function andin which a blank table is present with no indications in the headings. From our analysis we obtainthat the students managed to organize the values of the variables appropriately, relating them bycolumns; they wrote headings, identifying the variables involved); and they identified structures(relationships between variables).
