Técnicas de transnumeración utilizadas por estudiantes de 9-10 años: un estudio de caso

    En este trabajo se exponen los resultados sobre las técnicas transnumerativas utilizadas por 31 estudiantes chilenos de cuarto año de Educación Primaria, cuando se ven enfrentados a la tarea de construir representaciones usando datos propios, con el fin de obtener una mejor comprensión de ellos y dar respuesta a la pregunta de investigación ¿cómo se ha sentido nuestro grupo curso en este tiempo de pandemia? Para llevar a cabo el proceso de análisis se clasifican las producciones de los estudiantes de acuerdo con las técnicas de transnumeración.

    Los resultados muestran que la técnica predominante fue clasificar, seguida del cálculo de frecuencia. Además, se refleja la escasa valorización o necesidad de construir gráficos y tablas estadísticas, para la obtención de nueva información.

    Por consiguiente, a partir del análisis de los datos, se revela la necesidad que tienen los estudiantes de organizar los datos y realizar un conteo de ellos para la obtención de información. Asimismo, se evidencia que existen técnicas que no fluyen naturalmente en el estudiante, por lo que necesita de una enseñanza explícita y significativa.

    This paper presents the results of the transnumerative techniques used by 31 Chilean students in the fourth year of Primary Education, when they are faced with the task of constructing representations using their own data, in order to obtain a better understanding of them and to answer the research question: How has our class felt in this time of pandemic? In order to carry out the analysis process, the students' productions are classified according to transnumeration techniques. The results show that the predominant technique was classifying, followed by frequency calculation. In addition, there is little appreciation or need to construct graphs and statistical tables in order to obtain new information.

    Consequently, the analysis of the data reveals the students' need to organise the data and count them in order to obtain information. Likewise, it is evident that there are techniques that do not flow naturally in the student, which is why they need explicit and meaningful teaching.
