  Aquest article aborda el paper de les creences en la resolució de problemes. Després d’exposar algunes respostes dels alumnes a diversos problemes ens preguntem per l’origen dels errors comesos i per les dificultats i els bloquejos que han pogut trobar per resoldre’ls. L’acostament a aquesta problemàtica el fem des de la perspectiva de les creences dels estudiants i la seva relació amb les pràctiques. Exposem els resultats d’una investigació duta a terme amb 61 alumnes de 1r de Secundària als quals se’ls ha aplicat qüestionaris sobre creences i una prova de problemes. Aquest estudi es completa amb el de l’origen i la formació de les creences identificades en vuit dels subjectes als quals se’ls han fet dues entrevistes.

  This article deals with the role of beliefs in problem-solving. After outlining some answers given by pupils to several problems, the roots of their mistakes are discussed, along with the difficulties and barriers they may have encountered in solving them. We approach this issue from the standpoint of pupils’ beliefs and their relationship with practices. We then outline the results of research conducted with 61 pupils in their first year of secondary schooling. The pupils were given questionnaires concerning beliefs and a test with problems. The research was completed with a study of the origins and formation of the beliefs identified in eight of the subjects interviewed.
