    ResumenEste artículo ofrece una amplia visión en etnomatemáticas que incluye ideas, procedimientos y prácticas enraizadas en diversos contextos culturales. Al reflexionar en las dimensiones sociales, educativas y políticas de la etnomatemática se abordan aspectos importantes de este programa de investigación que conlleva al desarrollo de enfoques innovadores para el desarrollo de una sociedad dinámica y “glocalizada”. La etnomatemática reconoce que los miembros de distintos grupos culturales desarrollan técnicas, métodos y explicaciones matemáticas únicos, los cuales les permiten entender y transformar las normas sociales. Las bases teóricas de las etnomatemáticas ofrecen alternativas válidas a los estudios tradicionales que aluden los aspectos pedagógicos y la naturaleza de la matemática. La agenda actual para la etnomatemática es continuar en marcha con una trayectoria progresiva que contribuya al logro de la justicia social, la paz y la dignidad para la humanidad. Las discusiones expuestas en este artículo comparten algunas ideas clave que facilitan una comprensión más clara del campo de la etnomatemática, al discutir acerca de las acciones pedagógicas sus contribuciones para los programas de formación docente

    This paper offers a broad view on ethnomathematics that includes the ideas, procedures, and practices rooted in diverse cultural contexts. By reflecting on the social, educational, and political dimensions of ethnomathematics, another important aspect of this research program is the development of innovative approaches for the development of a dynamic and glocalized society. Ethnomathematics recognizes that members of distinct cultural groups develop unique mathematical techniques, methods, and explanations that allow them to understand and transform societal norms. The theoretical basis of ethnomathematics offers a valid alternative to traditional studies of pedagogical aspects and the nature of mathematics. The current agenda for ethnomathematics is to continue an ongoing and progressive trajectory that contributes to the achievement of social justice, peace, and dignity for humanity. The discussions outlined in this article share a few of the key ideas that provide for a clearer understanding of the field of ethnomathematics by discussing its pedagogical actions and its contributions for teacher education programs.
