Posicionalidade em pesquisas em etnomatemática: Discutindo os movimentos de ir e vir entre o campo e a academia

    In order for the investigative work in ethnomathematics to be conducted properly, it is important to discuss the need for researchers to understand the others through a cyclical relation of strangeness that may occur during the development of dialogic encounters during the conduction of fieldwork in this program. This theoretical article shares evidence that in the game of strangeness, there are constant transformations in the world. The evidence includes readings related to the positionality of researchers in relation of being there (emic) in the field or of being here (etic) in the academy. The understanding of this inseparable movement of going and coming between being there and being here facilitates the establishment of symmetrical relations and alterity in the dialogical interaction that permeates the dynamic of the encounters between the members of a certain cultural group (insiders) with the researchers (outsiders). In this sense, a need has emerged for researchers to recognize the movement of coming and going, as well as the approximation or distancing between the researchers and the researched, since this positionality forms a necessary condition for dialogical interaction to be manifested in the fieldwork conducted during investigations in ethnomathematics.

    ResumoPara que o trabalho investigativo em etnomatemática seja conduzido apropriadamente, é importante discutir sobre a necessidade de que os pesquisadores compreendam os outros por meio de uma relação cíclica de estranhamentos que pode ocorrer durante o desenvolvimento de encontros dialógicos durante a condução do trabalho de campo desse programa. Esse artigo teórico evidencia que, nesse jogo de estranhamentos, ocorrem constantes transformações nas leituras de mundo que estão relacionadas com a posicionalidade dos pesquisadores com relação ao estarem lá (êmico) no campo ou de estarem aqui (ético) na academia. Então, o entendimento desse movimento indissociável de ir e vir entre o estar lá e o estar aqui pode facilitar o estabelecimento de relações simétricas e de alteridade na interação dialógica que permeia a dinâmica dos encontros entre os membros de um determinado grupo cultural (insiders) com os pesquisadores (outsiders). Nesse sentido, existe a necessidade de que os pesquisadores reconheçam o movimento de ir e vir, bem como a aproximação ou o distanciamento entre os pesquisadores e pesquisados, pois a posicionalidade é uma condição necessária para que a interação dialógica se manifeste no trabalho de campo conduzido nas investigações em etnomatemática.
