Aprendizaje Servicio en la formación inicial docente de Educación Física: Análisis de una propuesta en el contexto norteamericano

      Este trabajo analiza los efectos de un proyecto de Aprendizaje Servicio (ApS) sobre la Competencia de Emprendimiento Social (CES) en alumnado de Educación Física. El estudio se aborda utilizando Métodos Mixtos con triangulación metodológica. El apartado cuantitativo utiliza el instrumento Social Entrepreneurship Competency Scale (Capella-Peris, Gil-Gómez, Martí-Puig, & Ruíz-Bernardo, 2019). El estudio cualitativo se desarrolla analizando los diarios reflexivos de los participantes. Los resultados cuantitativos proporcionan evidencias respecto al efecto positivo del ApS sobre la CES. El análisis cualitativo complementa esta visión reflejando cómo se desarrolló dicha competencia, por ejemplo, al liderar sesiones de juegos deportivos o a raíz del contacto directo con niños y niñas en riesgo de exclusión social. Además, la trasformación de resultados presenta una visión alternativa del beneficio generado.

      This study examines the effects of a Service Learning (SL) project on Social Entrepreneurship Competency (SEC) in Physical Education pre-service teachers. This is a mixed methods study that uses methodological triangulation. We obtained quantitative applying the Social Entrepreneurship Competency Scale (Capella-Peris et al., 2019). We obtained qualitative data by analyzing reflection journals that SL participants wrote. Quantitative study results provide evidence of the positive effects of SL on SEC, and qualitative analysis complement these findings. That analysis shows the ways participants developed SEC, such as by leading sports games sessions or engaging directly with children at risk of social exclusion. Moreover, data transformation results provide another perspective on the benefits resulting from the SL project.
