• The objective of this paper is to present a software tool for the e-assessment of relational database skills. The tool is referredto as LearnSQL(Learning Environmentfor Automatic Ratingof Notions ofSQL). LearnSQL isableto provide automaticfeedback, and grade the responses of relational database exercises. It can assess the acquisition of knowledge and practicalskills in relational database that are not assessed by other systems. The paper also reports on the impact of using the toolover the past 8 years by 2500 students.
