Resumen de Problematiken bei der Bestimmung, Abgrenzung und Darstellung von Ergänzungsklassen des Verbs in der Lernerlexikographie aufgezeigt am Beispiel von ELDIT

  • Verbs represent a challenge for learners especially regarding their valency. Besides a brief description of the grammatical-lexical question, we'd like to illustrate how we tried to solve the problem by conceiving an online dictionary for learners at beginner's level (ELDIT: www.eurac.edu/eldit). Special attention must be paid to the (German) verb valency patterns and to the choice of a limited number of obligatory and optional complements. To describe this crucial and difficult choice, here illustrated together with a brief summary of valency theory, we took as example the complement of quantity and the problem of complements expressed in verbal form (AcI, verbal complements, infinitival complements...).
