  • This work presents a study of (M;N)-coherent pairs of order (m; k) of sequences of orthogonal polynomials of a continuous and discrete variable on the real line and on the unit circle. This concept extends all the generalizations of the notion of, in our terminology, (1; 0)-coherent pair, studied in the literature, which was first introduced as coherent pair by A. Iserles, P. E. Koch, S. P. N rsett, and J. M.
