  El motivo de la realización de la presente Memoria ha sido poner en valor el legado científico de D. Ramón María Aller Ulloa, sacando a la luz gran cantidad de obras inéditas dispersas en archivos de organismos oficiales y particulares, pero también, mediante una investigación cuidada y rigurosa, recurriendo al testimonio oral de las personas que lo han tratado, a la prensa, revistas y a artículos de sus principales discípulos, dejar constancia, como documento histórico, de la opinión que sobre él tenían las personas que llegaron a conocerlo.

  Asi mismo, se ha clasificado su epistolario y se ha elaborado un necesario inventario de todas sus pertenencias científicas, al tiempo que se ha estudiado la evolución de su Casa- Observatorio de Lalín hasta nuestros días convertida en Museo Municipal Ramón María Aller. Todo ello ha servido para mejorar y ampliar la biografía de este extraordinario científico e intelectual gallego, no solo como matemático y astrónomo sino, y sobre todo, en su faceta humana y social, no menos interesante y quizá la menos conocida por el gran público.

  This Memory is dedicated to Ramon Maria Aller Ulloa, his human projection, and his scientific legacy.

  The text is composed of an introduction and seven chapters. The first chapter presents oral testimonies of family members, neighbors, and students. A huge quantity of unpublished works that are scattered in official and particular files have been brought to light in the second chapter. His diffusion articles in newspapers and magazines, his letters, and newspapers reports about him are treated in the follwing sections. In chapter six, a wide-ranging inventory of his scientific material (instrumentation, books, inventions, observations, notes, etc.) are presented.

  The last chapter deals with the history and evolution of the original family house and the personal Observatory of Ramon Maria Aller in Lalín. Today the building is the Municipal Museum of the village with its renovated Observatory.

  Thanks to the contents of this work, the biography of Ramon Maria Aller, an extraordinary galician astronomer, mathematician, and intellectual is more complete, extensive, and accesible to the general public.
