Propuesta de modelización de pérdidas por riesgo de terremoto en España mediante la formulación de Solvencia II

    En España el riesgo de que se registren pérdidas por terremotos se cubre a través del Consorcio de Compensación de Seguros. Son incontables las casuísticas cubiertas por este Consorcio siendo, entre ellas, una de las más recordadas el suceso ocurrido en Lorca en el año 2011. Aunque este hecho pueda parecer aislado, otras provincias del ámbito estatal pudieran verse afectadas por este tipo de eventos también. Este es el objetivo de este trabajo: determinar el riesgo de terremoto que existe en España, así como en cada provincia y la interacción que se pudiera dar entre provincias.Para ello se emplea la directiva técnica de Solvencia II de 2015. Ello lleva a medirlo a través del submódulo de no vida dentro de los riesgos naturales.La propuesta desarrollada acorde a esta Directiva técnica para el caso de España lleva a determinar qué afectación tendría su implantación, así como la comparación con el mismo riesgo de pérdida de terremoto con los países vecinos a España.

    In Spain, the risk of earthquake losses is covered by the Insurance Compensation Consortium. There are countless cases covered by this Consortium, one of the most memorable of which is the event that occurred in Lorca in 2011. Although this event may seem isolated, other provinces in Spain could also be affected by this type of event. This is the aim of this paper: to determine the earthquake risk that exists in Spain, as well as in each province and the interaction that could occur between provinces.For this purpose, the 2015 Solvency II technical directive is used. This leads to measuring it through the non-life sub-module within natural risks.The proposal developed in accordance with this technical directive for the case of Spain leads to what effect its implementation would have, as well as the comparison with the same risk of earthquake loss with the countries neighbouring Spain.
