Influencia potencial de artículos de empresas latinoamericanas en Wikipedia

      Los artículos sobre marcas, empresas y organizaciones en Wikipedia son abundantes. Investigaciones realizadas en el contexto norteamericano y europeo reclaman su valor para la comunicación corporativa, en especial en el tema de la reputación. Este artículo se centra en la influencia potencial de este tipo de contenidos, en el caso de empresas latinoamericanas. Datos estadísticos de acceso abierto, de los que se identificaron los picos de tráfico más sobresalientes, fueron asociados a hechos noticiosos con el fin de profundizar en dicha influencia. Los hallazgos evidencian que el acceso a los artículos corporativos es afectado de forma considerable por acontecimientos de interés público que involucran a las empresas.

      Article about brand names, companies and organizations abound in Wikipedia. Research conducted in the American and European contexts show that these articles are valuable in the corporate communication, particularly when dealing with the topic of reputation. This article focuses on the potential influence of these contents among the Latin-American companies. Statistic open access data, with their most prominent traffic peak points, were associated with news events in order to gain deep insights on their influence. The findings indicate that the access to corporate/business articles is impacted significantly by those events of public interest involving companies.

      Artigos sobre marcas, empresas e organizações na Wikipedia são abundantes. Pesquisas realizadas no contexto norte-americano e europeu reivindicam seu valor para a comunicação corporativa, especialmente no tópico de reputação. Este artigo foca-se na potencial influência desse tipo de conteúdo, no caso de empresas latino-americanas. Os dados estatísticos de acesso aberto, a partir dos quais foram identificados os picos de tráfego mais marcantes, foram associados às notícias para aprofundar esta influência. Os resultados mostram que o acesso a artigos corporativos é consideravelmente afetado por eventos de interesse público que envolvem às empresas.
