    El objetivo de este artículo es exponer la doctrina transhumanista y criticarla desde las coordenadas del materialismo filosófico de Gustavo Bueno. Para ello, tras desligar el transhumanismo del posthumanismo, presentamos tanto su versión computacional como su versión biotecnológica. A continuación, analizamos los argumentos a favor y en contra del biomejoramiento humano a través de la genética o de la cibernética. Y sacamos a la luz los mitos que envuelven a la ideología transhumanista, como la distinción metafísica Naturaleza / Cultura, el fundamentalismo científico y la creencia en la existencia del Género humano, una hipótesis acuñada precisamente por el viejo humanismo.

    The aim of this paper is to expose the transhumanist doctrine and criticise it from the coordinates of Gustavo Bueno's philosophical materialism. To do so, after separating transhumanism from posthumanism, we present both its computational version and its biotechnological version. We then analyse the arguments for and against human bioenhancement through genetics or cybernetics. And we expose the myths surrounding transhumanist ideology, such as the metaphysical Nature/Culture distinction, scientific fundamentalism and the belief in the existence of humanity, a hypothesis coined precisely by the old humanism.
