This work analyzes the populations of Ammonia tepida (Foraminifera) in the southwestern Spanish estuaries with the application of the Poisson's distribution. Although the general model is unsatisfactory for a possible prediction, a partial analysis of the variables included indicates an increasing abundance from the salt marsh to the subtidal channels and a higher number of individuals in those samples subjected to very euryhaline conditions. The grain size variations do not affect significantly to this species.
