This work explains the methodology used and the results obtained when using neural networks to analyze photographs to determine the distance between an object shown in them andthe camera that took the picture. Afterwards, we use this method to determine the speed of anobject recorded in a video. To accomplish this, we make use of the Ultralytics YOLOv8 neuralnetwork and the formulas to calculate the angular distance of an object that is being observed.
