The economic literature on tourism has applied the concept of resilience in different fields; among the most prominent are tourist destinations, companies and sectors of activity. This research aims to identify the most important contexts, theoretical frameworks and methodologies applied to the study of resilience in the tourism economics literature. The question that is intended to be answered is: In what contexts is tourism-related resilience studied? What theoretical frameworks and methods are used most frequently? With this objective, a bibliometric analysis is carried out, analyzing the existing literature in the Scopus platform. The research focuses mainly on the most relevant publications, identified by their citations and year of publication. We identify the different methods implemented, the theoretical frameworks, the findings and the gaps in the contexts of the various analyses. This work contributes to the literature on tourism resilience from an economic perspective, while, to the best of our knowledge, there are no previous works focused on this topic, from such a broad perspective.
