Resumen de Detección de errores conceptuales en matemáticas de los alumnos del grado en Ingeniería Informática del Software en su primer año de carrera

  Este artículo presenta un estudio relativo a los errores conceptuales en Matemáticas cometidos por los alumnos del grado en Ingeniería Informática del Software. El estudio se ha realizado sobre alumnos de primer año de carrera que en el curso académico anterior cursaron segundo de bachillerato. Se analizan los errores conceptuales cometidos, el motivo de los mismos, la influencia sobre la calificación final de la asignatura de Cálculo Infinitesimal, así como las diferencias existentes por género y centro de procedencia. Se comprueba que los errores conceptuales disminuyen después de cursar la materia de Cálculo en la Escuela de Ingeniería Informática de Oviedo. Además, no se han detectado diferencias significativas por el tipo de centro de procedencia, aunque sí en función del género.

  This article presents a study on the conceptual errors in Mathematics committed by the students of the degree in Computer Science. The study was carried out on freshmen from Computer Science degree that the year before attended the second year of Baccalaureate. It analyzes the conceptual errors committed, the reason of them, the influence on the final mark of the subject of Infinitesimal Calculus, as well as the differences existing by gender and center of origin. It is verified that the conceptual errors decrease after studying the subject of Infinitesimal Calculus in the Faculty of Computer Engineering of Oviedo University. In addition, no significant differences have been detected by the type of center of origin, although gender differences in the marks were found.
