  Resumen: Este artículo debate sobre los principales elementos que involucra la resolución de la explotación petrolera en el Yasuní, hogar de pueblos en aislamiento voluntario y reserva con una de las mayores biodiversidades del mundo. Desde la discusión sobre la noción misma de desarrollo, el carácter y la trayectoria del gobierno de la "revolución ciudadana", los límites de la redistribución y el papel de la tecnología en un contexto de hegemonía del capital, para concluir en la necesidad de plantearse paradigmas alternativos y reivindicar los procesos democráticos de toma de decisionesÂ

  Abstract: This article debates about the main elements that involve the resolution of oil exploitation in the Yasuní, home of voluntary isolation people and one of the greatest biodiversity reserve in the world. From the discussion of the notion of development, the character and the trajectory of the "citizen revolution" Government, the limits of redistribution and the role of technology in a context of capital hegemony, to conclude in the need of considering alternative paradigms and to go back to democratic decision making processes.
