La poética arquitectónica ni es un juego retórico ni es autotélica. La arquitectura es un arte originado por su utilidad fijado en un lugar. Su poética ha de ser la expresión unitaria de la cohesión e integración de las funciones y componentes que cubren su radical finalidad: traer a la presencia el habitar.

Architectural poetics is neither a rhetorical device nor is it an end in itself. Architecture is an art that arises from its fixed utility in a given place. Its poetics must be the unified expression of the functions and components that make up its radical end: the presence of dwelling.
