  En este artículo mostraremos detalladamente la equivalencia que existe entre la no singularidad de combinaciones lineales de dos matrices idempotentes y la no singularidad de su suma. Además generalizamos lo anteriormente dicho a través de la nulidad y el rango de una matriz, y en especial demostrando que lanulidad y el rango de cualquier combinación lineal no trivial de dos matrices idempotentes es constante.

  In this article we will show in detail the equivalence between the nonsingularity of linear combinations of two idempotent matrices and nonsingularity of their sum. In addition we generalize the above said through nullity and rank of a matrix, and especially demonstrating that the nullity and rank of any nontrivial linear combination of two idempotent matrices is constant.
