Resumen de Un curso de cálculo diferencial e integral en la Academia de Artillería de Segovia: el cuaderno escrito por el cadete Martín García Loygorri al dictado del profesor Isidoro Gómez (1775-1776)

En la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII los Borbones emprendieron la modernización de la artillería española renovando su oficialidad con jóvenes de la nobleza y creando un centro de formación de alto nivel, tanto en el ámbito científico como militar. Así, en 1764 se abrió el Real Colegio de Artillería de Segovia con un plan de estudios cuyo aspecto más renovador en el ámbito de las matemáticas fue la incorporación del cálculo diferencial e integral. Hasta el momento, el tercer tomo del Curso Matemático del profesor Pedro Giannini (1795) era la principal prueba documental del desarrollo y extensión de los distintos temas que comprendía la asignatura. Este artículo analiza el alcance y contenido de un manuscrito inédito, hasta ahora inexplorado, veinte años anterior: el curso de Cálculo Integral y Diferencial dictado por el profesor Isidoro Gómez entre el 5 diciembre de 1775 y el 12 de abril de 1776, escrito por el cadete Martín García Loygorri.

In the second half of the 18th century, the Bourbons undertook the modernization of Spanish artillery, by recruiting young noblemen as officers and founding a high-level scientific and military training center. Thus, in 1764 the Royal College of Artillery of Segovia opened with a syllabus including differential and integral calculus as its most innovative aspect in the field of mathematics. Hitherto, the main documentary evidence of the teaching of this subject matter was the third volume of Professor Pedro Giannini’s Mathematical Course (1795). This article analyzes the scope and content of an unpublished, until now unexplored manuscript that is dated twenty years earlier: the course on Integral and Differential Calculus dictated by Professor Isidoro Gómez between December 5, 1775 and April 12, 1776 and written down by Cadet Martín Garcia Loygorri.
