  This activity was carried out during the 2015-2016 academic year at the María Mercè Marçal de Mataró School, based on an observation of fourth-year primary school students: when they saw that school children had to sit on the floor in music class, they decided to find a solution to the problem. An Internet search found Paviplay, a system of soft interlocking floor tiles that uses safe and healthy materials and offers fungicidal and bacterial protection. Paviplay would allow the entire surface to be covered, and could be easily removed when not needed. The project gave us opportunities for cross-disciplinary and collaborative work. In the area of mathematics, activities covering all curricular units were carried out. In terms of language, both oral and written expression were employed, in arguing the proposals made, discussing them, finding solutions, reaching agreements, and presenting proposals.

  Finally, it was necessary to present a formal proposal before the School Council and to defend it, and teamwork was essential throughout the entire process.

  Aquesta experiència va ser realitzada durant el curs 2015-2016 a l’Escola Maria Mercè Marçal de Mataró a partir d’una observació dels alumnes de quart de Primària: en veure que els nens i les nenes d’educació infantil s’asseien a terra a la classe de música, van decidir buscar una solució a aquest problema. Vam començar a investigar per Internet i vam trobar Paviplay, un sistema de rajoles de goma encadellables, que utilitza materials segurs i saludables, a més d’oferir protecció fungicida i bacteriana.

  Paviplay ens permetria cobrir tota la superfície necessària i treure-la fàcilment quan no la necessitéssim.

  Aquesta experiència ens ha permès fer un treball interdisciplinari i cooperatiu. Dins l’àrea de matemàtiques s’han fet activitats que engloben tots els blocs curriculars. Pel que fa a la llengua, s’ha treballat tant l’expressió oral com l’escrita: ha calgut argumentar les propostes fetes, discutir-les, buscar solucions, arribar a acords i presentar propostes. Per acabar, hem hagut d’aprendre a presentar una proposta formal davant del Consell Escolar i a defensar-la. El treball en equip ha estat fonamental en tot el procés
