Resumen de Errores frecuentes en el área de matemáticas, un análisis estadístico con alumnos de bachillerato

  En este artículo se hace un estudio estadístico de los errores matemáticos de los estudiantes de una Escuela de bachillerato en México, mediante una evaluación escrita elaborada y aplicada a una muestra de alumnos. Con la información recabada y con la ayuda de la estadística descriptiva, se detectaron aquellos errores típicos que con frecuencia cometen los estudiantes. Una vez realizado lo anterior, se implementaron estrategias para un mejor aprendizaje insistiendo en aquellos aspectos que generaron más dificultades, con el objetivo de superar los errores detectados. Consecuentemente, se aplicó una segunda evaluación escrita a la muestra de alumnos, para entonces aplicar la prueba estadística t de Student y relacionar los datos recabados. El objetivo fue comparar los resultados de aprendizaje del grupo de estudiantes antes y después de recibir el entrenamiento focalizado en los errores más frecuentes.

  This paper makes a statistical study of the mathematical errors of the students of a High School in Mexico, by means of a written evaluation elaborated and applied to a sample of students. With the information collected and with the help of descriptive statistics, those typical mistakes that students frequently make were detected. Once this was done, strategies for better learning were implemented, insisting on those aspects that generated the most difficulties, with the objective of overcoming the errors detected. Consequently, a second written evaluation was applied to the sample of students, to then apply the t of Student statistical test and match the data collected. The objective was to compare the learning results of the group of students before and after receiving the training focused on the most frequent errors.
