  • Resumen
    • Data Science is becoming more and more popular in our data driven society. The present relevance of terms such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or Big Data, has overcome the already non-very-popular one Statistics. However, statistics and maths are the base for all these approaches to analyse data and hiding the term can lead us to a dangerous situation where the formal base is lost. Here I try to understand how do we arrived here and which is the importance of statistics in the curriculum of the new Data Science Degrees that are being established in most public universities all around Spain. © 2020 SEIO.
