En este art´ıculo se exponen algunos aportes del desarrollo hist´orico de los n´umeros reales con la incorporaci´on de los n´umeros irracionales, ra´ıces que se remontan a la antig¨uedad griega y se formalizan en en el siglo XIX con Cantor y Dedekind. Este trabajo es un estudio filog´enetico que se centra en identificar a trav´es de la historia, c´omo, algunos matem´aticos, intuyeron, visualizaron y formalizaron los objetos matem´aticos involucrados en el proceso de formalizaci´on de los n´umeros reales.

Some contributions of the historical development of the real numbers with the incorporation of irrational numbers, whose origins dates back to the Ancient Greek and were formalized in the XIX century with Cantor and Dedekind. This article is a phylogenetic study that focuses on identifying through history, how some mathematicians intuited, visualized and formalized the mathematical objects involved in the process of formalizing real numbers.
