    Los accidentes de tráfico dejan secuelas de por vida y si la víctima queda incapacitada, producen un lucro cesante debido al diferencial de ingresos que dejará de recibir. Este valor medio es muy divergente en los países de Europa, aunque existe un consenso sobre los componentes del coste y sus métodos de valoración. Sin embargo, muchos países han normalizado legalmente la compensación financiera para que se calcule de manera objetiva y equitativa para todos los afectados. En este trabajo se expone un modelo para normalizar el lucro cesante de las víctimas incapacitadas de accidentes de tráfico. Se utiliza una metodología actuarial que relaciona los insumos conocidos (edad y salario) para obtener una compensación económica. Se proporcionan principios e hipótesis generales y se localizan los casos que requieren una valoración particular. El coste estándar así calculado permite una compensación homogénea, justa y equitativa para todos los implicados en circunstancias similares.

    Traffic accidents leave lifelong consequences and if the victim becomes disabled, the result is in a loss of earnings due to the income differential. This average value is very divergent in European countries, although there is a consensus on the cost components and their valuation methods. However, many countries have legally standardised the financial compensation so that it is calculated in an objective and equitable manner for all concerned. This paper presents a model for standardising the loss of earnings of disabled victims of road accidents. An actuarial methodology is used and with two known inputs (age and salary) it is possible to obtain financial compensation. General principles and assumptions are provided and cases that require a particular valuation are located. The standard cost thus calculated allows for homogeneous, fair and equitable compensation for all those involved in similar circumstances.
