• Resumen

  • Based on research and diagnosis in two case studies -the Via de la Plata and the Portuguese Inland Way to Santiago (CPIS)- the authors present a SWOT analysis and important recommendations for improving pilgrimage routes’ governance. Research is based on a set of qualitative research techniques including discussion groups, in-deth interviews, participant observation, web analysis, joining a rich and complex material allowing a deeper understanding of the route and the experience from different stakeholders’ points of view.
