Evaluación de autores científicos: dos sistemas estadísticos actuales

    Este artículo presenta un conjunto de análisis y experiencias en torno a dos fuentes de citas de autores, como son las de Google Scholar (Google Académico) y Research Gate. Ambos recursos de internet proporcionan información de las citas de los autores registrados y profesores universitarios en sus plataformas gratuitas en línea. Llegamos a la conclusión de que no son fuentes fiables actualmente para la toma de decisiones académicas o de acreditación de profesores de universidad o de investigadores, ya que presentan unos datos que no se corresponden biunívocamente con la realidad y no son fuentes objetivas de datos.

    This article presents a set of analysis and experiences around two sources of citations of authors, as they are Google Scholar and Research Gate. Both internet resources provide information of cites of the registered authors and universitary teachers in their online free platforms. We arrive to the conclusion that they are not trustworthy sources actually for the university teachers or researchers academic or accreditation decision making, since they present data which do not correspond with the reality biunivocally and are not objective sources of data.
