  Una de las áreas de las Matemáticas en la que los alumnos de secundaria tienen un menor conocimiento y encuentran más dificultades para su aprendizaje es la estadística. En el presente artículo se propone mejorar el conocimiento de la estadística mediante la realización de actividades en las que el alumnado identifica su utilidad de forma práctica y sencilla utilizando datos extraídos de situaciones cotidianas. En las diversas actividades propuestas se trabajan aspectos tales como la toma de datos de varios tipos de variables estadísticas, la elaboración de sus respectivas tablas de frecuencias y la representación de los resultados. Además, se incluye el uso del R-Commander para la comprobación de los cálculos y su representación estadística, así como el uso de la técnica de aprendizaje cooperativo 1-2-4

  One of the areas of Mathematics in which high school students have less knowledge and find it more difficult to learn is statistics.This article proposes to improve the knowledge of statistics by carrying out activities in which students identify their usefulness in a practical and simple way using data extracted from everyday situations.In the various activities proposed, aspects such as the collection of data from various types of statistical variables, the elaboration of their respective frequency tables and the representation of the results are worked on.In addition, it includes the use of the R-Commander for checking the calculations and their statistical representation, as wellas the use of the 1-2-4 cooperative learning technique.
