In this work we present a formal description of a learning environment framework that gives support to learning analytics.The framework is based on techniques that educational data mining and social network analysis provide. The purpose is tostudy or discover collaborative relationships that students generate during their learning process and make predictions orassessments about student learning. We also present a new model in the way the learning process is evaluated.
