  • The article presents a reprint of the article "The Italian Trans-Avantgarde," by Achille Bonito Oliva, which appeared in the 1979 issue of "Flash Art International." The article discusses post-structuralism in the field of art. According to the article, avant-garde has always operated within the cultural pattern of an idealistic tradition which tends to shape the development of art into a progressive, continuous and rectilinear line.
