Computer Algebra Systems can be excellent tools to calculate the Jordan canonical form of a matrix. Some of these systems contain commands which can automate such calculations (when they are able to solve the characteristic equation of the matrix). In this paper we describe a package that we have developped to calculate the Jordan canonical form. It has the following possibilities:
i) calculate the Jordan canonical form when the eigenvalues have been previously calculated ii) show its calculation step by step (for didactic purposes) iii) choose the order of the Jordan blocks iv) obtain a simplier change matrix, by choosing some ot its elements.
