In the teaching of mathematics the practical work has traditionally resorted to blackboard and chalk. More recently the use of computer tool is making an inroad into its teaching.
This paper presents, by means of a typical example, the advantages that a computer tool for mathematics such as Derive offers in the study of the functional sequences and series.
