    Se presentan algunas propiedades conocidas del k-simo momento inverso bk(n, p)de una variable aleatoria binomial positiva. Se derivan otras desigualdades nuevas yalgunas propiedades de esta funcin.Palabras clave:  Probabilidad, estadstica, contingencias de vida, polinomios de Bernstein.

     We present some known properties of bk(n, p) the kth inverse moment of a positive binomial variate. Additional properties of this function and new bounds are derived. Keywords:  Probability, statistics, life contingencies, Bernstein polynomials.
