• Once the need for rewriting the history of the π Theorem was advanced in a previous article, in. this paper its origin and first statement by A. Vaschy is developed from J. Fourier's dimensional considerations, in the frame of the first French school of Dimensional Analysis, with significant contributions due to Bertrand, Lucas and Carvallo.
