Resumen
This article details the development of an Expert System for managing Urban Planning parameters. Information about the building possibilities assigned to a site by the law is obtained in a quick and easy way (the regulations of the City Council of Madrid have been implemented in this case). Therefore, this Expert System frees the designer team from this tedious but imperative work. The inference engine uses Computer Algebra techniques (Gröbner Bases) and is implemented in CoCoA.
