  En este artículo mostraremos cómo el Álgebra Lineal (y más concretamente el álgebra matricial) se ha usado y viene usándose en la resolución de problemas económicos e indicaremos algunos de los que se han venido abordando con esta rama del Álgebra. Para ello, realizaremos un recorrido histórico no exhaustivo (por motivos de extensión) en el que se expondrá el nacimiento del Álgebra Lineal y cómo esta rama del Álgebra ha sido y está siendo empleada para tratar algunos problemas económicos, teniendo como ejemplo más caracteristico el del Análisis Input / Output.

  In this article, we show how Linear Algebra (and more concretely Matrix Algebra) has been previously used and is being used nowadays in economical problem solving, commenting some of them. To do so, we are going to run through history, but not comprehensively due to length extension, expounding Linear Algebra’s birth and its application to several economical problems, with Input / Output Analysis as its most characteristic example.
