In this article we show that the introduction in Spain of mathematical logic is due to Ventura Reyes, at the end of the 19th century. Nevertheless, almost fiftieth years before, we can already perceive traces of that on the philosophical introduction of symbolic logic of José María Rey. Both also imported into Spain other two mathematical theories novel on the time: Rey, the imaginary numbers (under a methaphysical viewpoint), and Reyes, the non-Euclidean geometries.
