  La dificultad que los alumnos de primaria encuentran en resolver problemas de cualquier tipo, me ha llevado a plantear otras estrategias que se salgan del clásico aprendizaje basado en la mera aplicación de uno o varios algoritmos. Esta propuesta, pretende hallar otro mecanismo para que el alumno logre el éxito en la difícil tarea de resolver un problema.

  La propuesta metodológica que presento en este trabajo tiene como finalidad facilitar a los alumnos la resolución de problemas de matemáticas. Se basa en escuchar un problema, traducirlo a un lenguaje icónico y resolverlo tomando los dibujos como apoyo. La he experimentado con alumnos de 10 a 12 años durante tres cursos obteniendo buenos resultados.

  The handicap that children of primary school find in solving any kind of problem has focused me to work on other type of strategies different than the classic learning stile based on the application of one or several operations. This proposal tends to find another mechanism for the child to achieve the success in the difficult task of solving a problem.

  The methodological proposal that I present in this work has the meaning to facilitate children the resolution of mathematics problems. It is based on listening the problem, translating it into a drawing language and solving it by using the draws as support. I have experimented this with children from 10 to 12 years old during three academic years obtaining good results.
