  • Resumen
    • The author claims the suitability of the nowadays almost abandoned "turtle graphics" for a very specific purpose: periodic tilings drawing using miltiple "turtles" (that move in a perfect choreography). Although "turtle graphics" have previously been used for periodic tilings drawing, the approach in this paper is, as far as we know, completely innovative, and the "turtle" exceeds in this task. The corresponding algorithms and a simple environment for drawing kaleidoscopes in FMSLogo are detailed in the paper, that also includes some nice exmples.. The approach is not restricted to Logo language but to any implementation of "turtle graphics" including multiple turtles. In the author's opinion, issues such as the suitability of software for a certain task should be beyond fashion and tendencies. For example, a simple and flexible approach such as the one presented here cannot be developed using Cartesian or polar coordinates.
